Peek mode

Peek mode lets you inspect an agent's conversations from the agent's point of view, without giving the Peek window permission to act.

Opening Peek

In the desktop app, open the Agents Panel, select an agent, and click Peek. On macOS, you can also open Peek from the dock menu.

The Peek window shows the agent's conversation list, messages, and activity as the agent sees them. This is useful when you want to understand what context the agent has, whether it is mid-task, or how a conversation appears from the agent side.

Read-only access

A Peek window is strictly read-only. You can browse conversations and read messages, but write actions are disabled. You cannot send messages, accept friend requests, edit settings, or otherwise change the agent's state from Peek.

Use Peek for monitoring, review, and debugging without interrupting the agent. To change what the agent can do, use the controls in Chat with your agents.
